PHELPS SMOKES FROM A BONG
OMG. So it's true after all that sports atheletes have their fair share of scandals.
It was first reported on 01/02/09 that Micheal Phelps was caught smoking cannabis in the photo. This wonderman who shocked the world with 14 olympic gold medal pulled off this unexpected act that left many of his fans speechless. Seriously, why would he do such a thing that would harm his body and keep him from maintaining his tip-top condition?
And apparently, we MIGHT NOT be able to see him in LONDON 2012 according to
NewsOfTheWorld as the olympic sporting chiefs announced a 4-YEAR ban on sportsman who are found to take drugs. SO YUP, it culd probably bring a halt to Phelps' career for the time being. =(
Come to think of it, Phelps probably dint expect this from happening especially since it happened in November when it's least likely to be tested for drugs. He sort of THOUGHT it was safe, but apparently some IDIOT who was at the party as well had decided to screw up his career by snapping a photo of it and put it on the net(or sell it to newspaper publishers, etc.). Sigh, tht's the cons of being a famous star, every single action and every part of your life is scrutinized thoroughly.
Phelps' agents even try to stop NOTW from publishing the photos with 'a raft of extraordinary incentives'..but maybe Phelps agents worried too much coz he hasn't lost any of his sponsors. Visa, Speedo, Omega and Human Performance Labs have all decided to continue supporting him. Lucky Phelps. ;)
