RAY: You just got grinded!
Me: YEA right, by the rock-hard..........CEMENT!

Haha. Tht's just one of the many lame-jokes that surfaced during night cycling yesterday. We cycled from Woodlands till Khatib and stop-over at Mac for supper. Everything was quite smooth until when we were on the way back.

We decided to try an unknown park connector. Unknown because the map was kinda unclear with unknown road names n unknown destination. The only thing that (we thot) we knew was tht we shld be ending up near Woodlands judging by the position of the exit near the end of the Northen Part of Singapore. So we were feeling adventurous and went ahead into the unlit pathway of the park connector. Fortunately, Ray has got his lights with him so it was kinda dimly-lit(better than nth). Haha. The length of tht park connector is probably...1600m? So when we finally reached the end of it.........we ended up at BOTTLE TREE VILLAGE! Omg. Yes yes, it was nice n all but it was already 1am...so it was kinda secluded except for the fact that we found the nice by-the-sea scenary and discovered another place for PRAWNING! Haha. But it's still kinda expensive, $14 per hour. I think it still couldnt compare to the PRAWNING place in Jurong near Fairway Country Club.

So anw, back to it. After Bottle Tree Village, we cycled out onto winding ULU ROADS! Omg. It's really ULU with trees and street lamps only. N when we approached at the fork of a road...we had trouble deciding which way to go! Omg. N we tried looking for the street name and guess wat? The street sign with the name on it was covered with a layer of algae making it highly incomprehensible for us to make out the name. X.X Sigh, so we still had no idea whr to proceed while me n ray had different opinion as to which direction we shld proceed. Haha. And lucky thrs this seafood restaurant's banner facing towards one of the road..and yea, trust an woman's instinct! I decided tht that should be the road to exit since the banner was facing that road...it has gotta be the reason y they place it thr - to attract oncoming vehicles into their restaurants.

Fortunately, we made it out...n Ray even stopped one of the car to double-confirm our way of direction. Omg...i only know tht it's seriously ULU coz we ended up at private housing and finally Sembawang Park. ROFL. We culdnt imagine the horror that after so much cycling, we still end up at Sembawang?! ( btw, we entered the park connector at Yishun) So yup, we tried searching for our way out onto the main road and HELL, u culdn't imagine how pleased we were when we saw the MRT track once again. LOL..it's like spotting an oasis amidst the desert. HOORAY.

After finding our way back to the MRT TRACK, we decided to just stick to it and cycle straight home. LOL. On the way..ray tries to be funny again n went to try another pathway..which led him to a small residential park with a few playgrounds and he had to go round n round before getting to the exit. HEHE. SERVES YOU RIGHT! ROFL

All in all........night cycling is still very fun. This is the second time i went night cycling and how could night breeze ever be compared to breeze under the scorching hot sun? Haha. Moreover, good thing bout night cycling is thr are lesser cars on the road...u culd ride ur bike as if YOUR GRANDFATHER OWNS THE ROAD. HAHAHA. YUP, i just like tht carefree feeling..;)
