UPDATES ON MY TRIP TO THE DENTIST.

Totally bad news. I was told i have 4 wisdom teeth after taking my X-RAY.

FOUR!

& it wuldnt hurt that much if i have 4 but the doctor advised me to EXTRACT all of it out!!! OMG.

My mum wanted me to go under local anaesthetics since it has lower risks..but the doctor advised against it and asked me to go under general anaesthetic instead. His reason was one of my wisdom teeth located at the bottom jaw may be a bit difficult to extract. X.X I dun think i have any preference, not becos i m totally brave but both are just as scary as it is.

Local anaesthetics will mean that i will be awake thruout the whole op. So i can hear the surgical tools do their job.

General anaesthetics will involve the doctor injecting some medicine into my vein and me breathing in some kind of air. The problem with this is..it's kind of scary. Like...once u sleep and u will nvr wake up if the effect doesn't wear off? XD The doc has told me that the worst case scenario is death. Haha, but he said that's true for any surgical procedures and that the risks are vry minimal. Haha. Okok..i shall have faith in the very advanced medical sciences and technology. XD

But i realise one thing. Being asleep thruout the whole op means that the doc can anyhow poke my gums and i cant even make a single noise rite? & when i wake up i dun even noe if thrs any injuries on my gum rite? Haha. My gums were poked accidentally when the doctor was doing a check-up on my teeth. RAAAAH.

& yesterday, i had a conversation with louis:
louis: it doesn't matter if all your other teeth are extracted
me: y?
louis: becos chip only needs the two front teeth!
me: =.=

& with jeanle:
jeanle: i was thinking that you should ask if the doc can return you your teeth
jeanle: and he will ask y...
jeanle: and you will reply: "coz i want my wisdom back!"

as for tht, i DID ask the doctor about it. Haha. and he said he's only possible to return me wisdom teeth from the upper jaw but not the bottom jaw. This is due to the different kind of extraction method. The op on the upper jaw is relatively easy...the doc will just pluck out. For the op on the lower jaw, it involves smashing / breaking/ sawing the wisdom teeth into small pieces be4 extracting out. OMG.

So do you think i should be worried?

i am damn worried.

What's even worse is i cant even schedule the op in the school holidays becos it's too full already. & i had an unpleasant encounter with the surgical coordinator staff thr. I cant voice out my questions becos everytime i ask, she will shut me up and say, 'i will touch on this later. LET ME DO MY JOB' WTS. Who's having the op? It's me rite? I can't even ask. Nvm. Then i asked (i had to!) if she could try to push the op date into the school holidays period. Then she replied nonchantly, ' I cant do anything much. WHO ASK YOU SO LATE THEN COME FOR CHECK-UP?' (MAN, THIS IS THE REASON Y I NVR REALLY LIKE NURSES IN GOVT-HOSPITALS) They(most that i've encountered) are so grumpy bout work and hardly ever smile. WHRS THE SERVICE ATTITUDE? Anyway, back to the topic. SO i retorted, 'it's not that i waited so long to check it out. IT recently just got worst. IS THAT MY FAULT? It's not what i want either right?' Then she orh orh orh...patronising me. Even my mother helped my speak up. We were very calm and peace-loving until kenna this stoopid surgical coordinator. MAN.

Then she say, ' i will just list it as urgent and once thrs any earlier available date, i will schedule u in.' Tht's so music to my ears. That, is if anyone cancel their op and she assured me that, there WILL be people who do that. OK & i agreed.

So, tenatively, my op date will be on 26th JUNE. 1st week of hectic school life in term 3. OH MAN. PLS PLS, sumone pls cancel your op.

Alrite, that's my visit to the dentist. It was generally a pleasant trip, short waiting times, friendly dentist, alert nurses and nice X-RAY staff. Even the staff at the counter provided good services. THE SURGICAL COORDINATOR JUST HAVE TO SPOIL MY DAY. (it was the final stop, btw) ARGGGH

Enough of the rantings. That's all. =)
